Welcome to the Sperling Community web site.
Sperling is a small Manitoba farming community, located about 60 kilometers southwest of Winnipeg. Small in size, but big in spirit - a community that our native sons and daughters are proud to consider their hometown.
This site, created after our very successful Homecoming 2005 reunion, wants to show what Sperling was and is, to let folks know what’s happening, and to maintain the warm feelings of community among our residents and “alumni”.
Learn about Sperling and its history. Have a virtual tour of the village, and help to document the history of Sperling’s homes and businesses. Look at some pictures, and send in your own to share with all of us.
See a plot of the cemetery, and look through the register of names of the people buried here.
Check out what’s happening and what’s coming up in Sperling.
Reflect on Homecoming 2005, whether you attended or not. Order souvenir pins and key chains – while they last. Re-live something of the “Cemetery Adventure” history play – a video will be available soon.
Join the Sperling Forum – to exchange information about your hometown, and be in touch with friends and family.
Find “lost friends” or contact members of the community club and other interested “alumni”.
Thanks for visiting sperling.ca.
